Oil | Company: Elohor Aiboni, first woman appointed CEO of Shell Nigeria

Global energy company Shell has announced the appointment of Ms. Elohor Aiboni as Managing Director of its deepwater business in Nigeria, Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited, SNEPCO. Appointed in March 2021, Elohor Aiboni, will succeed Bayo Ojulari, who retired on July 31.

Elohor Aiboni is the first woman to lead the Shell exploration company in more than six decades of Shell’s operation in Nigeria.

Prior to her new appointment, Elohor was Bonga’s Asset Manager responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of production from the pioneering Nigerian Deepwater Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel operated by Shell Nigeria and which had produced more than 900 million barrels of oil since it began operations in 2005.
